What is full-service book publishing?
Full-service publishing combines the professional production of a traditional publisher with the control and royalties of self-publishing. We design, format, register and distribute your book, while you remain the publisher of record and owner of every right.
This model gives authors a professional, bookstore-quality product without waiting years for a traditional deal or giving up creative control.
Formats and distribution
We prepare and publish your book in every format readers buy, and list it with the major online retailers and wholesale networks.
- Paperback and hardcover through print on demand
- eBook for Kindle, Apple Books, Kobo and Google Play
- Audiobook production and distribution
- Wholesale distribution to bookstores and libraries
- Amazon KDP setup and category selection
- ISBN, barcode and copyright registration
Cover and interior design
Your cover is your most important marketing asset. Our designers research your genre’s bestsellers and create a cover that fits the market while standing out. Interior layouts are typeset for comfortable reading in print and correctly formatted for every eBook platform.
Your rights and royalties
You own your book. We publish under your account or imprint, you control pricing and availability, and royalties are paid directly to you by the retailers. There are no royalty splits with Paladin Press.
Self-publishing a book the professional way
Self-publishing gives you control and higher royalties. The catch is that you need the same quality a traditional publisher would deliver. Here is what that involves.
Edit before you publish
Readers can tell when a book has not been professionally edited, and reviews will say so. Even a strong manuscript benefits from a copy edit and a proofread. If you are unsure, start with an editorial assessment.
Invest in the cover and interior
Your cover is the first thing a reader sees in a search result, often at thumbnail size. It needs to signal the genre immediately and read clearly when it is small. The interior matters too. Margins, fonts and chapter openings all affect whether the book feels professional in a reader’s hands.
ISBNs, metadata and distribution
Each format needs its own ISBN. We register them in your name, set up your Amazon KDP and wholesale listings, and choose categories and keywords that help readers find the book. Print-on-demand means your paperback and hardcover are printed as orders arrive, so there is no inventory to store.
What you keep
With Paladin Press you are the publisher of record. You set the price, control availability and receive royalties directly from the retailers. We do not take a share of your sales.
