George Hackenschmidt was one of a group of illustrious "strongmen" who dominated the rough world of professional wrestling at the turn on the century. A pioneer of weightlifting, strength training and physical fitness, Hackenschmidt is said to have amasses a record of 2,000 wins against only 5 losses before his retirement from the ring in 1912. His epic battles for the heavyweight championship with the equally legendary Frank Gotch rank among the greatest bouts in the history of wrestling.
